Many don’t realise that the number of vego restaurants/ cafes is increasing in Australia recent years. The booming vego food industry is a reflection of the rapid increase in interest of people adopting meat free diet (or cutting down meats, and opting for more veggies). And it seems that once you start adopting meat free diet, you would “notice” more vego restaurants (I guess that’s where the law of attraction kicks in).
Being in Perth, my two favourite vego places have to be Annalakshmi and Utopia Vegetarian restaurant.
Annalakshmi on the Swan[
Annalakshmi is an Indian vegetarian restaurant located on the beautiful Swan River. It serves delicious mixed curries, naan, salad and desserts – all buffet-style. The restaurant is unique as it is managed by a team of volunteers and runs on a ‘pay as you feel’ basis. This place is great for curry lovers!
Utopia Vegetarian Restaurant
Utopia serves a variety of Asian vegetarian dishes, which include many vegan options. Besides hot food, they also offer coffee, a great selection of hot and cold tea, cakes and soft breads. It is a nice place to catch up with friends and family over a healthy vegetarian meal.
